Whiteoak Yearbook 2020 Update - May 5, 2020

As we continue to be confined to our homes for a few more weeks due to the Coronavirus (CoVid-19), we are working hard to finish the Whiteoak Yearbook for the 2020 school year. BUT, we need your help!!! During this time, students are continuing to do classwork work at home in their personal study areas (upload pictures during these times), while creating memories through other fun activities, such as reading, playing outside, working out to stay in shape, virtual or drive-thru birthday parties, and any other activities during these times at home. Let’s continue to take advantage of this and create some yearbook pages of students at home. We need your photos to put in the yearbook.
Thank you

Senior Yard Sign UPDATE!!!

A BIG SHOUT OUT to the Southern Highland Joint Fire District, along with Chuck Wait Tire, The Old Y, Nutrien Ag and H & R Block (Mt. Orab) who have offered to pay the remaining $15 for Senior Yard Signs, so every Whiteoak Senior will have one. If any Senior/Parent wants to use a picture other than their Senior Composite, please email it to nancymaysphotography@yahoo.com by this Friday, April 24th. We are moving up this date so we can get the signs a week sooner.

Thanks again for supporting our Whiteoak Seniors!

Food Service Update

Food Service Update

Bright Local School will continue meal service during the extended school closure. We have established four drive thru pick up locations Whiteoak High School, Bright Elementary and Belfast store from 11:00 to 11:30 A.M. and at the Carmel store from 12:00 to 12:30 P.M. Meals can be picked up every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Two meals will be given per child per day one being a shelf stable meal. All children eighteen years of age and under are eligible to receive meals. Bright Local School appreciates the willingness of our food service staff and our volunteers for continuing operations to ensure children receive the nutrition they need during this COVID-19 crisis. If you are not on the list to receive meals please contact our food service director, Debbie Robertson at 937-572-9705.
Daily

Recommended Daily Schedule

Each child has received a learning packet. The goal of the packets is to continue learning while the school is closed. Teachers provide a lot of ways to extend and support each child’s needs on an individual basis which we cannot replicate during an event such as this. Creating a daily routine during this closure will be very beneficial for your student. Below is one possible schedule.  We know that each family's needs are different, so we encourage you to consider a schedule/routine that will work best for your family.
