                STRATEGY 1:
                                  
Implement a professional development plan that is focused on the
                district-wide needs of staff as determined by data analysis.

                          ACTION PLANS:
                                          1.
   Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) is
                                                operating effectively.
                                          2.
   A district-wide professional development plan that helps
                                               
achieve the mission of the strategic plan is in place.
                                          3.
   Each staff member has an individual professional development
                                                plan.
                                          4.
   Opportunities are provided for training and support in
                                               
instructional technology.
                                          5.
   Professional development plan provides skills and
                                                understanding to achieve strategic objectives.

              STRATEGY 2:
                                Design and implement appropriate instruction and engaging work to
              increase student achievement.

                        ACTION PLANS:
                                        1.   Curriculum, instruction, and assessment are aligned pre K-12
                                              with content standards.
                                        2.
   District staff collects, analyzes, and uses data to make decisions
                                              to improve student learning.
                                        3.  
High expectations and engaging work designed by teachers’
                                              result in improved student achievement.
                                        4.
   District staff have implemented and evaluated existing
                                              programs using scientific based criteria.

              STRATEGY 3:
                               
Create policies to meet the on going financial needs of the district.

                        ACTION PLANS:
                                        1.
   Current policy reflects current governmental mandates,
                                              funded or unfunded.
                                        2.
   Policies/Procedures are in place to improve current financial
                                              situation.
                                        3.
   Grants/other outside funding are secured.
                                        4.
   Community provides financial support and resources to
                                              support our mission. 

              STRATEGY 4:
                                Collect, assess, and monitor data that affects the financial stability of
              the district. 

                        ACTION PLANS:
                                        1.
   A system is in place to collect, assess, and monitor data that
                                              affects the financial of the district.
                                        2.
   Financial data has been analyzed.
                                        3.
   A plan is in place to increase operational efficiency.
                                        4.
   A five year forecast is in place.

              STRATEGY 5:
                                Develop and implement a communication plan to increase and
              improve communication between school and community.

                       ACTION PLANS:
                                        1.
   Staff members are committed to the beliefs of the school
                                              district and are working collaboratively to achieve the mission.

                                        2.
   Students understand and embrace the beliefs of the school
                                              district and successfully participate in the achievement of the
                                              mission.

                                        3.
   Parents are committed to the school district and
                                              are actively involved in achieving the mission.

                                        4.
   There is an effective communication plan that highlights
                                              district quality and high expectations, enhances reputation and
                                              unites the community in working together to achieve our
                                              mission and beliefs.

                                        5.
   Using technology, Bright Local Schools have established strong
                                              interactive relationships within and beyond the community.

             STRATEGY 6:
            
                  Design and implement a public engagement plan that results in
             authentic community input in the school district’s decision-making process.

                      ACTION PLANS:
                                       1.
   A public engagement plan is in place.
                                       2.
   A system is in place that promotes two-way communications
                                             between school and community.

                                       3.
   There is an academic culture characterized by high
                                             expectations for the learning community.
