Principal's Message

August 2023

Wildcat Community,

Hi! My name is JP Gauche, Principal at Whiteoak JH/HS. I am honored and excited to step into the principal role this year at Bright Local School District. I graduated from Fayetteville High School in 2006. After high school, I attended the University of Cincinnati where I graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Middle School Education.  I also obtained my Master of Education in Educational Leadership in 2021 from the University of Cincinnati.

My career as an educator started in August of 2012 at Blanchester Local Schools. I then moved to Eastern Brown for the past ten years, in my time at Eastern I sat on many different building teams and coached varsity soccer for six years. In the community, I have been a Brown County 4H advisor for sixteen years.

Open house for Whiteoak JH/HS will be on August 15th from 5-7 pm. We hope this will allow students to familiarize themselves with the building, meet the teachers, and get schedules. Teachers have been working hard over the summer to prepare for the next school year and are excited to see everyone.

Extracurricular activities are already going in full force. Our sports teams and marching band have been putting in the hours and effort to improve. If someone missed or needs information about ongoing practices, open gym/fields, or activities please email me with questions.

As we begin the school year, we would like to celebrate our successes for Bright Local Schools. All Bright Local District staff are responsible for the following amazing successes.

* Closing the Learning Gap 5/5 star rating
